The emblem above is used by the State of Georgia for its Public Guardian program. A Public Guardian is a volunteer who has been trained registered to act on behalf of an incapacitated adult. The Public Guardian’s primary functions are to make decisions about the ward’s person as opposed to acting as a conservator making decisions about the ward’s property.
